Seal pups are starting to appear on Pembrokeshire beaches. Please keep a sensible distance (20m or more ideally). After several calls, we rescued this young pup from Abercastle beach today. A family had plotted up, kids, picnic and dog off leash not 3ft from this pup. Just a few days old and weighing just over 12kg. There’s no way it’s mum was able to get in and feed him today. We decided to lift him for fear of further disturbance by people. Mum has since been seen searching for him. Sad but he’s now safe from further disturbance. Avoidable situation if people could just keep their distance. 🦭❤️
